* “I am a licensed massage therapist, Reiki Master, and Tarot reader. I’ve worked with Linda for over two years. I consider her a master teacher and myself her apprentice. I originally met Linda in the store where she works. I started out just looking for a reiki teacher in my area. I took Reiki II from her in July of 2001. Before taking the training for Reiki II, I experienced a rebirthing session with Linda. One session and I was hooked. The first rebirthing session was a two-hour session. * "We have always had kittens and cats. Most were adopted young, but there were a couple of older cats that were taken in for one reason or another and given a good home. Such was the case with the cat that came to us in August 2002. She was very emaciated, and looked to be a terribly neglected adult cat. I would say she was an abused cat. You could not put your fingers thru the matted fur, and on parts of her back the fur was practically falling off. My son suggested she needed veterinary care immediately, but the clinic was already closed. The following evening, I was able to lure her into a carrying case with some food, and off we went to the veterinary clinic where she stayed for three days. At the clinic she was given a thorough physical examination, blood tests and shots. The clinic discovered that she had a lot of problems: a heart murmur, difficulty in breathing, very noticeable tremors in her head area, infected teeth, and an infection going inside of her body. She was deaf and her hind legs were arthritic. She was put on antibiotics to combat all the infections. The Vet thought she might have cancer in the lungs, so I asked him how long he thought she would live. He said that maybe she had two to three months. I was told that there is nothing that could be done. Surgery was one option, but it was ruled out because she was in such bad shape. Soon thereafter, I began checking into alternative ways of treating our new adoptee that my son had named Patches.
I had heard of Reiki and how it had been utilized with people, but I wasn't sure if it could be utilized with animals. I made a couple of calls and was directed to Linda Rosenblit, who is a specialist in this field. She was very clear in explaining how the procedure is done on animals, but made no promises. So, I made that first appointment in the early part of November 2002. Linda is such a caring and pleasant person. She made Patches feel very relaxed and comfortable.

We noted the following improvements during the time Patches came and worked with Linda:

• 1. From the first visit I could see that Patches benefited from Reiki. Her appetite increased, and she began to eat more and more each day. Eventually, she had gained almost a full pound. Her fur began to grow to a shiny coat, which I encouraged by brushing it continually as well.
  
  
• 2. Her arthritic hind legs got so much better that she was able to move without difficulty. She was even able to run up the stairs at a good clip.
  
  
• 3. Her heart murmur got better. When she was diagnosed with it, the Vet placed the murmur between 4/5 on a scale of 1 - 5. At her first re-check, the murmur had gone down to between 2/3. The Vet said, "Whatever you are doing, keep it up as it is helping her".
  
  
• 4. Her breathing got better also. She used to breathe between 40 to 50 breaths per minute. It had gone down to between 25 to 35, which although still elevated, was much better. At rest, her breathing settled down to between 12 to 20 breaths per minute.
  
  
• 5. The tremors in her head area almost completely disappeared, and she was a much happier cat because of it.
  
  
• 6. She had had her gums operated on. Her whole mouth was so sore that you could not even touch her cheeks. After only a few sessions of Reiki, these sore areas were all healed up.

I met Linda in 1994, when I was suffering from acute fear and unhealed trauma. I was not breathing fully and the tension accumulated in my body was intense. Heavy bulimic behavior was part of isolating myself from the world, longing for human contact, but greatly afraid of being hurt.
